Date: Sep 24, 2026, 7 pm Eastern Time

Format: 45-minute guided conversation followed by a 15-minute audience Q & A

Intended Audience: This webinar is free and open to all individuals interested in learning more about student health and health issues addressed in the college environment.

Webinar description: This session is a real conversation about the physical and psychosomatic presentations seen on a daily basis at a university Student Health Center. The presenter will highlight the different levels of engagement, compliance, and disparities noted among the student population. Through a guided dialogue, the discussion will explore the physical and psychological barriers and behaviors (both sensory and sexual) resulting in a proliferation of student treatments. The conversation will include quantitative and qualitative experiences, prepared questions, and audience engagement to create an open space to understand health decision-making facing the young college population. The final 15 minutes will be dedicated to Q & A.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the individual-level factors from the student’s perspective that affect their health decision-making process.
  • Understand the institutional and systematic approach to students’ psychological well-being after adverse medical findings or testing
