Patient Advocates
Individuals with lived experience navigating health disparities who wish to engage with NAEHD’s mission, share their stories, contribute to advocacy initiatives, and access education and resources to support their care journey.
Patient Navigator
Individuals who support patients in navigating health care benefits, insurance access, and continuity of care.
These are dedicated advocates for equitable health services.
Associate
Fellows, researchers, educators, policy experts, or other professionals invested in our mission to end health disparities and advance equity. Ideal for those engaging in advocacy, research, or policy without direct clinical involvement.
Clinical Doctorate Holders
Licensed healthcare professionals with doctoral degrees (e.g., MD, DO, PharmD, DNP, AuD, OD, DPT, PsyD, DDS) who advance health equity through clinical practice, research, advocacy, or policy.
Nurses and Practitioners
Licensed nurses, advanced practice providers, physician assistants, counselors, therapists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals working in and invested in our mission to end health disparities and advance equity.
Students
Graduate students committed to advancing health equity through research, advocacy, and clinical leadership. This free membership offers mentorship, resources, and a network of changemakers, active for the duration of academic enrollment.
Please note: This membership is available only to students enrolled in Clinical, Public Health, or Public Policy programs.

- Graduate Student Members: Free while enrolled
- Patient Members: $30 annually
- All other categories: Annual rates available on the membership page HERE.
Yes. If your role or eligibility shifts, reach out to: membership@naehd.org and we’ll help update your membership.
Dues may be tax deductible depending on your membership type and the benefits received. As a 501(c)(3) organization, NAEHD encourages you to consult your tax advisor to determine eligibility.
