About the Virginia Rural Health Association:
The Virginia Rural Health Association is a non-profit organization working for the 2.5 million Virginians who call rural Virginia their home. VRHA’s mission is to improve the health of rural Virginia through education, advocacy, and fostering cooperative partnerships.
As a Virginia-incorporated and Virginia-based organization, NAEHD joined the Virginia Rural Health Association to deepen our commitment to equity in our own backyard. While our movement and mission is national, we recognize that ending health disparities and advancing equity means confronting barriers to care where we live. This membership reflects our belief that national movements must be locally accountable, and that rural health equity begins with proximity, listening, and collaboration.
