Our Strategic Priorities (2025- 2027)
Below are our five key priorities for 2025-2027. While these remain our focus, NAEHD is committed to addressing a broad range of health disparities nationwide.
Identifying Barriers & Improving Access to Care
We are committed to identifying barriers to healthcare and developing solutions to dismantle them, laying the foundation for improved access to high-quality care for all.
Focusing on Chronic Diseases & Preventative Care
Through research, education, and improved access to treatment, NAEHD aims to reduce health disparities and promote equitable care in chronic disease management.
Improving Maternal Health Outcomes
Black women in the United States face a maternal mortality crisis, with rates nearly three times higher than their white counterparts. NAEHD is committed to deploying targeted strategies to bridge this gap and improve outcomes.
Expanding Counseling & Mental Health Services
The organization is committed to helping expand access to counseling and mental health services. Additionally, we will aim to reduce the stigma and provide free resources to those in impacted broadly.
Assisting the Under & Uninsured
Many individuals either lack health insurance entirely or do not have sufficient coverage. This often prevents them from accessing basic medical care or receiving critical, life-saving treatments. We are committed to helping these individuals find the information and resources they need to access affordable healthcare options and essential services.
